We are a small, very small group of people hanging out on IRC, occasionally building something together, like this website and riding on bicycles around the world.
The whole thing sterted during the summer of 2011 (I cannot believe it's been so long ago) when jnxy, mario and tomnowak decided to build a VPN between their home computers and play about a bit with networking.
Below is the video by mario showing our most sophisticated computer in action.
Find us on IRC, lostwire.net:8000 channel #lostwire. Usual suspects: eileen, jnxy, mario and tomnowak.

We organize a regular board meetings to discuss the system design and to schedule the work.
Below is the video with the consequences of not showing up on the meetings.
Below few picture of machines this mess of a network is running on.

Our infrastructure is based on Debian Linux VM-s running on KVM hypervisor. VMs connect to each other over the Internet, using OpenVPN forming a small Virtual Private Network. Each VM then runs number of necessary, core network services, each in its own, dedicated, unprivilaged, LXC Container. For flexible storage management, our containers are build on ZFS. In the heart of each VM we have an OpenLDAP acting as a backend for BIND, MIT Kerberos and few other services in a near future. Our stack is topped by an OpenAFS which covers distribution of home directories and fail-over storage for web services. Configuration of all above is managed using Ansible.

What to do if you're unable to do. Read below and do.
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On” has solved and will always solve the problems of the human race.”
Calvin Coolidge
